Are You Feeling Stuck About Choosing an Ideal Bathroom Vanity?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e68789156b13391854d7233d5bad443b/3aed3baf3ec9e5c2-b5/s540x810/7a95532e4f95d87b49305138a5703828d5454ab0.jpg)
Having numerous options for the perfect bathroom vanity can be overwhelming. Whether you’re working with a small area or looking for a budget-friendly option, choosing the appropriate vanity is essential for both appearance and usability. Whether it aims at boosting space or making the place look more appealing, the appropriate vanity will alter the bathroom in a positive way-combining both practicality and elegance.
If you are planning to buy a bathroom vanity in Atlanta and are feeling stuck, this guide will help you navigate the process with ease and confidence.
Few Tips to Discover the Perfect Vanity for Your Needs
Assess Your Space
The primary consideration in selecting the best bathroom vanity is evaluating the available space and the dimensions of the bath area. If the bath area is too small, a small wood bathroom vanity will fit the space perfectly. These types of vanities are practical and do not occupy too much space while offering ample storage without congesting the room.
They assist in making an open and spacious atmosphere that is suitable for small bathrooms. In the case of bigger areas, consider going for a large vanity to accommodate more storage options. Also, it is important to consider the style of the bathroom, whether it is modern or traditional, as this will influence your choice of vanity and its design features.
Material and Style Matters
After you have decided on the right size of the vanity, the next important step is choosing the material and style of the vanity. The materials you select will impact the aesthetics and durability of the vanity. A natural wood bathroom vanity makes a bathroom feel more welcoming and has a less artificial feel, which makes it highly preferable.
The natural wood is durable, which makes it worth the cost, as it comes in finishes like oak, walnut, or birch. This material suits different bathroom designs, from the traditional style to the contemporary design, and enhances the space's texture. If one prefers, it creates a striking contrast.
Budget-Friendly Options
When it comes to remodeling a bathroom, one of the concerns that many homeowners have is the ability to stick within a specified budget. Premium bathroom vanities are costly, but low-price alternatives available in the market that don’t compromise on quality or style. If you are operating on a budget and want to enhance your bathroom decor at the same time, consider exploring discount bathroom vanities in Atlanta.
Many suppliers in this region provide top quality vanities at low prices, enabling you to maintain your design within your budget without sacrificing functionality or aesthetics. In Atlanta, you can still find modern, attractive, and durable furniture from reliable stores specializing in bathroom remodeling while looking for affordable bathroom vanities.
Do Your Research
Before making an informed choice, it is essential to do research deeply. Check out some customer reviews and see what they are saying about specific brands or styles of vanities. Furthermore, you can consult a professional designer or contractor if you are not sure about the placement of the vanity in your bathroom. The professionals can offer insightful advice on the ideal solutions, layouts, and materials for your particular requirements.
Conclusion
To summarize, choosing the most suitable bathroom vanity does not have to be a stressful process. Considering the appropriate size, material, design and budget helps you get a vanity that complements your bathroom space and also serves its purpose. The perfect vanity is within your reach, whether you choose natural wood or look at inexpensive options.

Transforming your bathroom into a luxurious retreat doesn't have to be daunting, especially with the timeless elegance of black marble. The deep, rich tones of black marble not only exude sophistication but also create a striking contrast that can elevate any space. In this blog post, we will explore the allure of a black marble bathroom, highlighting how this dramatic feature can infuse modern elegance into your home.
Black Marble Bathroom
The black marble bathroom is a stunning choice for those looking to create a sophisticated and luxurious space. This bold design element can transform an ordinary bathroom into an exquisite sanctuary. The rich tones and unique veining of black marble bring an air of elegance and style that is both timeless and contemporary.
When incorporating black marble into your bathroom, consider options such as black marble countertops, vanity tops, and even accent walls. The contrast against lighter colors can create a striking and dramatic effect, making your space feel more expansive and well-defined.
One of the key benefits of a black marble bathroom is its versatility. It pairs beautifully with a variety of materials, such as brushed gold or chrome fixtures, and complements different color palettes, from soft whites to vibrant jewel tones. This adaptability allows homeowners to personalize their space while maintaining a cohesive look.
There are various finishes available for black marble, each offering a unique aesthetic. A polished finish provides a sleek, glossy surface that reflects light beautifully, while a honed finish delivers a more understated, matte look that can soften the overall appearance of the bathroom.
Lighting plays a crucial role in showcasing the beauty of a black marble bathroom. Consider installing ambient lighting to highlight the natural veins and texture of the black marble. Additionally, task lighting around mirrors can enhance visibility and add warmth to the space.
To add depth and interest, incorporate other design elements that create contrast and texture. For example, pairing black marble with wooden accents can create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Textiles such as plush towels and bath mats in lighter shades can also soften the overall look.
With its rich aesthetic and timeless appeal, a black marble bathroom is more than just a design choice; it’s an opportunity to create a luxurious retreat in your home. Whether you’re planning a complete renovation or simply looking to refresh your existing space, integrating black marble can elevate your bathroom to new heights.
Modern Marble Bathroom
When it comes to designing a modern marble bathroom, the emphasis is on clean lines, minimalistic features, and the striking appeal of marble. This luxurious stone, often associated with opulence, can elevate your bathroom space into a sanctuary of relaxation.
One of the defining characteristics of a modern marble bathroom is the color palette. While many opt for classic whites and creams, darker shades like black or gray marble create a bold statement. Black marble, with its rich depth and unique veining, can transform traditional notions of bathroom design, making it a chic and contemporary choice.
A key feature in a modern marble bathroom is the seamless integration of marble into various elements, from countertops to flooring. Large format tiles have become increasingly popular, creating a sense of space and continuity. Pairing these tiles with elegant fixtures and understated accessories enhances the overall aesthetic without detracting from the beauty of the marble.
Vanities in a modern marble bathroom often showcase the stone’s natural patterns, turning functional furniture into a visual centerpiece. Choosing sleek hardware and soft-close drawers can maintain a streamlined look, while integrated lighting adds warmth and sophistication.
For those seeking to add a touch of personality, consider incorporating wood elements or contrasting materials like glass. These choices balance the heaviness of marble with lightness, making the bathroom feel both inviting and serene.
Incorporating plants or greenery can breathe life into the cool, polished surfaces of a modern marble bathroom. Strategic placement of greenery not only adds color but also promotes a calming environment.
Lastly, don’t forget about the practicality of maintaining your modern marble bathroom. While marble is undeniably glamorous, it requires regular sealing and care to keep it in pristine condition. Choosing the right products for cleaning and maintenance will ensure your marble retains its beauty for years to come.
Bathroom Marble Design
When it comes to creating a luxurious and sophisticated space, bathroom marble design stands out as an exceptional choice. Marble is known for its timeless beauty, variety, and ability to elevate the overall aesthetic of any bathroom. In this section, we will explore some key elements and ideas related to bathroom marble design.
Choosing the Right Marble
One of the first steps in bathroom marble design is selecting the right type of marble. From classic white Carrara to striking black marquina, the options are abundant. Each type of marble comes with its unique veining and color variations, allowing you to match the marble to your personal style. Consider how different marbles will interact with your bathroom's lighting and the overall color scheme to create the desired atmosphere.
Incorporating Patterns
Another exciting aspect of bathroom marble design is the ability to incorporate patterns. Marble can be cut and laid out in various patterns like herringbone, checkerboard, or even geometric shapes. These designs can add depth and interest to your bathroom, making it feel more dynamic and stylish.
Combining with Other Materials
To enhance your bathroom marble design, consider combining marble with other materials. Pairing marble with warm woods, sleek metals, or even vibrant tiles can create an intriguing contrast and elevate the space further. This combination can help to soften the look of marble, making it feel more inviting and less formal.
Accent Features
Incorporating marble accent features like vanity tops, shower surrounds, or even marble sinks can transform a standard bathroom into a luxurious retreat. These elements become focal points in the design, drawing attention and admiration. For a truly unique touch, consider custom marble pieces that reflect your style.
Maintenance and Care
While the beauty of marble is undeniable, it's important to consider its maintenance. Proper care, including regular sealing and careful cleaning, will keep your bathroom marble design looking pristine. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the stone, and always use coasters or mats to prevent stains and scratches.
In summary, bathroom marble design offers a wealth of possibilities to create a stunning and elegant space. With the right choices and careful planning, you can achieve a bathroom that embodies luxury and style.

catalyst - chapter 4
Life has many twists and turns- yours included getting rejected from med school and ending up as a manager for your burnt-out pro boxer ex. (sukuna x reader)
notes: fem!reader
fanfic masterlist / main masterlist
Staring at you in the mirror was someone you hadn’t seen since prom night— a woman dressed up to the nines with more makeup than your preference. And this was all because Sukuna wanted you to accompany him to the annual sports charity ball instead of Uraume.
Your dress was of his choosing— not that you had anything suitable for a cocktail formal. The dress was simple yet beautiful— a long maroon form-fitting dress with a modest slit up to your left knee. A sheer lace strap covered your shoulders, and your neck was decorated with the fanciest necklace you had- a thin gold chain gifted to you by Sukuna on your first anniversary together.
You sighed as you pushed yourself off the vanity stool in your bathroom. You were just going as his plus-one. Not a date, not his girlfriend, not his fiance. Plus-one. You looked at the clock and noticed that the limo from Sukuna’s management was set to arrive within 10 minutes, so you decided to check up on him.
The sight made you pause in the doorway. His black suit jacket was messily strewn on his bed; his shirt was slightly unbuttoned as he stared at the crumpled bowtie on the floor. His tattooed face was wrinkled with a frown. You walked in and picked up the piece of satin off the ground. “Let me guess, you still don’t know how to tie a bowtie?” Your remark irked him and made him roll his eyes.
“I don't understand why I can’t just use a clip-on.” You ignored the way his eyes trailed down your figure. You hated to admit it, but he always knew what looked good on you. “Because you’re not six,” you said as you tied the bow tie around his neck.
Your heart pounded like a drum as his cologne clouded your senses. Suddenly, you were transported to the night of your first anniversary. You could almost feel the way his lips once felt against yours, teasing and pulling with every caress on your hips and thighs. You came back to the present after you finished tying his bow tie.
You moved away from him and admired your work. “There, all done.”
He looked in the full-length mirror in front of him. He motioned you to stand next to him, and you did as he requested, heels clicking against the cold wood. “We look good together.”
And he was right. He intentionally made your dress match the color of his bowtie. If no one noticed your empty ring finger, they would’ve thought you two were married. You were both too in tune with one another’s body language to act as just employer and employee. It wasn’t intimate, but your history together made it impossible for you to be professional with him.
“The limo’s almost here. Let’s go,” For a second, you almost forgot that he wasn’t yours anymore.
-
The annual sports charity ball was an affair like any other. Billionaires, millionaires, future business moguls, athletes— every hot shot in a related field was there for the good of future sportsmen. Well, that and creating essential connections.
You didn’t miss the way all the men stared at you as you entered the large ballroom with the former king of the ring. “Lusty fuckers, acting like they’ve never seen a woman before." You were afraid Sukuna would break the stem of his champagne-filled flute, so you quickly took it away from his grasp. “Sukuna, it’s fine, let them-”
You had to stop yourself from comforting him. You weren’t in a relationship with him, so what made you think you had to address his jealousy? There was nothing wrong with all these men staring at you. You were a single woman who wasn’t being held down by any responsibilities— it was only natural that they wanted you, especially when you looked so beautiful underneath the gleaming lights of the giant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
“Sukuna, I’m so glad to see you on your feet again.” You turned to see a tall man with a large build holding onto the fighter’s shoulder. Stripes of silver hair decorated his temples, contrasting with the brown hair on his scalp. He looked extremely athletic for a man his age.
“Ah, coach Yaga, nice to see you,” Sukuna smirked. He put his calloused hand on the small of your back and led you closer to the older man. You shivered as you felt the warmth of his palm through the dress’s thin fabric.
You introduced yourself to the man, and Sukuna told you he was his primary coach for his matches—the man behind his success. “Ah, Suk- Uraume’s told me all about you. Thank you for helping him through this difficult time. He’s like a bull when angry, so I was happy to find out that there was someone he actually listened to.” Sukuna scoffed at his coach’s words but didn’t deny anything.
He shared many interesting stories from Sukuna’s rookie days- how he’d challenge senior fighters like it was nothing, train even after being beaten to a pulp, and how much he loved teaching his younger brother basic self-defense moves.
“But seriously, though, thank you. I haven’t seen him smile since-”
“Okay, old man, let’s get you a drink.” Sukuna drove away his coach before he could continue his sentence. “I’m gonna go to the men’s room. Will you be okay alone?”
You nodded and decided that Sukuna’s old champagne flute would be your company for the next few minutes. Since you were alone, you took the opportunity to look around and observe the sheer grandiosity of the whole event.
It seemed like Sukuna attended these events alone or with Uraume because the other attendees were nonchalant about his presence. It's like he was just another person passing by them and not one of the best fighters in the world.
It all felt like another world to you. Another side of Sukuna that you had never discovered in the past. You were so used to him from the past that you didn’t notice how he grew up to become so polished.
The Sukuna in your memories was rough on the edges, crass, loud, rude, and an unexpected romantic. Now, in the present, he still carried a few of those characteristics with him but had significantly toned them down, almost like the light in him had died down. You wondered if you had anything to do with that.
Your champagne had warmed up while thinking about the past, so you walked to the bar to replace your drink. A little bit of intoxication would help with the pain your heels were causing you.
“Your dress would look better in blue.” You were surprised to find a man standing beside you; snow-white hair slicked back with a single strand falling on his forehead. Black shades covered his eyes, but you could tell he had long lashes even then. If one opened a dictionary to look up the definition of beautiful, they would find him.
After Sukuna, of course, but that was just your opinion.
His navy blue jacket was folded and resting on the bar counter, allowing you to catch a glimpse of his veiny forearms on full display because of his rolled-up sleeves. His navy blue suit vest complemented his white shirt and white hair, making him look like a prince who had just run away from his wedding. He looked familiar, but you couldn’t tell where you knew him from.
“I’ll be sure to let the designer know that.” You weren’t in the mood for a conversation with another man, so you responded with a simple yet conversation-terminating joke.
“I already told her that. She has a navy blue dress in the collection as well. Not sure why you didn’t get that instead.”
“This dress was given to me. I didn’t buy it.”
“I’ll buy you the navy blue one. Think of it as a gift.” He winked, and you weren’t sure if it was the alcohol, but you were blushing. The man’s face alluded to his charm.
“Do you buy expensive dresses for every woman you meet for the first time?”
“Just ones I find beautiful.” He didn’t look away from your eyes while saying that. The determined smile on his face made you want to look away, but you felt like it would fuel his ego even more.
Classical music breezed through the giant hall as people joined for a slow waltz. Your mind couldn’t help but wonder if Sukuna did the same with other women. Darn you, Debussy, for the unnecessary jealousy.
He eyed your now-finished drink and extended his hand forward. “Care to dance? Don’t worry, I’ll happily take the lead if you don’t know how.” You looked down at his pale hand, devoid of scars and callouses. No rough edges. Trimmed fingers with little to no signs of previously broken knuckles. They looked like the hands of the privileged few. Even yours weren't that pristine.
But what the hell? You weren’t taken. Who said you weren’t allowed to dance with a stranger?
You hesitantly placed your hand in his and ignored how chilled they were compared to Sukuna’s. Or maybe it was just your body telling you that Sukuna was the only man you had ever felt genuine warmth with. His cologne was too strong for your liking, too. He smelled like an intense, citrusy oud. The kind of scent one doused themselves in to cloak the smell of nicotine and menthol.
“I’m Gojo Satoru, by the way.” His name sounded graceful, like his moves. He was good at leading you— it must be the result of dance classes.
You introduced yourself to him, though you couldn’t help but have this lingering thought in the back of your mind that you must be another insignificant woman to a man like him. Another entertainment for the night, another show to leave after a season of nonstop watching, another book to be shelved after an unsatisfying chapter.
“You’re awfully distracted for someone dancing with the likes of me.” He must’ve noticed your clouded mind.
“And you’re awfully confident in yourself.” You feel his hand tighten against your waist. You must’ve struck a nerve. It’s hard to fight back the satisfying smirk displayed on your lips.
“I’m just saying that because you don’t seem to know that I’m the CEO of Gojo Group,” the man subtly flexed. Ah, so that’s where you knew him from.
“I must say, you coming in here with Sukuna Ryomen struck a nerve with me,” Gojo said while spinning you around. You assumed it was because he didn’t want you to see the look on his face.
“He’s just my employer. His usual manager wasn’t available today, so I accompanied him instead.” You didn’t want to get into the logistics of your arrangement with Gojo. You weren't sure Sukuna would be okay with that information being in the open.
“I feel better about being this close to you now.” You shivered as his hands danced back to your sides. His slim fingers felt like icicles, giving you goosebumps. “You know-” he dipped you this time, uncustomary for usual slow waltzes, but you brushed that thought away for your mental stability. It was too late to back out now.
“-I’ve lost a lot of money because of him,” he said as you were at eye level with him again (more like eye to chin, but you get the gist). “What do you mean?”
“I’m sure you’ve heard of betting on sports matches, right?” His casual display of wealth didn’t baffle you. The man owned half the city, after all. “Is that legal?” You asked as he pulled you away from a man who was hoping to swap partners. “Depends where you do it. It’s only applicable for professional matches. Underground matches? Not so much because you don’t pay taxes on your earnings from betting on those.”
“I don’t get why you’re telling me all this.” From the corner of your eye, you notice Sukuna return from the men’s room. You were close enough to see the look on his face- horror. You had never seen him look like that. Not even in his matches. He didn’t even look the least bit scared in his last fight, and that had him severely injured.
It looked like he wanted to run towards you, but he wouldn’t be able to pull you away without making a scene since the dancefloor was crowded. You gulped as Gojo removed his glasses and hung them on his collar. His eyes were ice blue- chilling like his hands. He turned you both around so he could face Sukuna instead. His initially sly and flirty smile now dripped with malice. Like a disguised wolf on a sheep farm, ready to gorge on their warm blood and fat.
“I’m saying that this world of boxing is small. I’ve known Sukuna since before his glory days.”
His fingers dug into your waist, suffocating you in his hold. Your chest tightened with every breath as he leaned closer and closer to your ear. You could only imagine what Sukuna looked like right now.
"Gojo, you're hurting me." You tried pulling away, but his iron grip kept you in place.
“You’re not getting what I’m trying to say- your beloved was an illegal underground fighter.”

I have a request: how would the Techno react if Reader dies but appears a few months later alive but very injured?
Now this inspired me.
Warnings: 18+, angst, suicide mentioned, hints at nsfw, blood, alternate timeline where she was never pregnant; adding Athena and Apollo into this would have made me cry so no.
————————————————————————
Techno was distraught, it was against his nature to love and be loved and yet you taught him how. You were his everything and more. From the moment you shot him in those woods all that time ago, when the voices went quiet when your face came into his eyesight, everything changed for him.
He loved you more than life itself, so when Phil broke the news to him that you were dead, he lost it. Standing in the living room of the home you had shared together, rage burned through him, his shaking hands ripping, shoving, destroying. By the time he was done, Phil had witnessed something he thought he’d never see.
Techno was weeping, sobbing, screaming for you. A broken man wanting the only thing he couldn’t have. For months Techno barely ate, barely slept, contemplated suicide daily. How could he live without you? Why would he even want to? Without you there was no meaning to his life. It was like a huge hole had been punched through his chest.
The absence of you was everywhere he looked, the little touches you had slowly added to the house over the years. Your perfume, oils and lotions on the white vanity in the corner of the room. Techno remembers vividly, when you had talked about wanting one and he worked for weeks to build and paint one you’d love. He sat for hours carving intricate designs onto the legs and around the mirror just for you.
The wardrobe filled with your clothes, the beautiful materials you covered your body with, he was always envious of them, they got to touch you all the time. Dresses hanging there that hugged your figure perfectly, that made his heart beat faster.
The bathroom filled with your sweet bath oils and bath salts, countless times he had come home from fighting and you drawn him a bath and washed him clean. Countless times had he taken you apart in the sweet smelling waters and steamy room.
The bed was the hardest to deal with, it reeked of you. The mouthwatering smell he wanted nothing more than to roll around in, it was always present when he slept. It was a slight comfort to him, but always left him distraught. He thought about sleeping downstairs but had to remind himself that he had destroyed the couch.
More time passed, around six months now since Phil had told him about your death. He was a hollow shell of himself, he had lost a lot of weight and always had dark bags under his eyes. He was surprised he was still breathing.
“Techno!” Phil had screamed, a dreaded, fear filled, confusion dripping scream. Techno sighed, it took so much energy out of him to simply stand. Feet practically dragging along the floor, he shuffled to the front door sparing a longing look to his axe of peace. Whatever was on the other side of his door was dangerous if Phil’s scream was anything to go by, and he was happy to let whatever it was kill him.
Opening the door and stepping out onto the wood panels just before the stairs that led down to the snow, red cloak and gold crown nowhere in sight, The Blood God isn’t who stepped out to fight, but a broken man ready to die.
That all changed the second he saw you. You who had been dead for six months, you who he had mourned for six months, you who was bruised and covered in cuts with blood dripping from them. You who looked just as starved and exhausted as Techno did, in fact you looked worse.
“Sweetheart?” Techno’s voice cracked as he uttered the term of endearment he hadn’t spoken in so long.
“Tec.” Your voice was small and fragile, your hand reaching for him. The clothes you wore were torn and certainly not enough to keep you warm in the freezing cold snow you had trekked in to get home.
He ran to you, feet moving quicker than they ever had before all so he could take you in his arms and hold you close. “I’ve got you darlin’, I’ve got you, hold on to me.” He used all his strength to help you into the house, Phil running to your aid too.
You took in the state of your home and honestly it was alot better than what you had expected. Glancing at your husband, he avoided eye contact sheepishly, normally it would have made you smile. You don’t even think you know how to do that anymore.
“Let’s uh, get you upstairs.” Phil said awkwardly, helping Techno carry you up into your bedroom, and onto the bed. You sighed in pure relief that you body didn’t have to hold itself up anymore, that you weren’t on a nasty cold stone floor too but the soft, Techno smelling, mattress you had been dreaming of for six months.
You were so happy you cried. You cried ugly, hard, loud. Letting all your emotions out. Techno was there stroking your filthy, greasy hair and holding your dirty, sore hand. “Sweetheart?”
“I’m just so happy, I thought this day would never come. I had convinced myself that it wouldn’t. And yet here I am. Home.” You sobbed out the words, looking at your husband through your tears blurred eyes, just about making out the crooked smile on his gorgeous face.
He wanted to ask what had happened, wanted to know who had done this to you. But just seeing your relief to being in a bed, to being home, he knew you’d need time.
Phil went home after Techno had asked him to, they agreed not to tell anyone you were back until they figured out what had happened to you and by who.
Techno ran you a bath and took extra time and care into washing you off, he had to pull you out of the disgustingly mucky water and run you a new bath. This one you could soak in, allow yourself to relax, even when the clear water did dirty again, only a little this time though.
You saw the look in Techno’s eyes as he washed you and you knew, remembering the vow he made to you all those years ago; “I love you, it took me a while to say it I know. But I need to know you understand—“
“Understand?” You asked.
“How much I love you. I’d destroy empires for you. Pillage country’s for you. Kill for you.” He pressed his forehead to yours. “If anyone ever even thought about hurting you, they’d be dead before they could finish that thought.” He growled, deep from within his chest. The ruby of his eyes shining brighter the more he talked about it.
“I understand.” Of course you did. You knew from the moment you said ‘I do’ exactly what that meant.
“You’re going to kill him aren’t you?” It was a question you knew the answer to but you still felt compelled to ask nonetheless.
“Yes.”

And then during their date they talk about what they want for their future. Like a big house and dogs and all that. And after their dinner they walk around downtown and he kinda spoils her with like shoes and such. Idk the song just calls out to old money Stevie

The engine of Steve's car died down. He looked up at the house, taking in the exterior of it. His hands were sweaty. He wouldn't tell you, but he was nervous about this. He had been for days. He'd cover it up with the confidence facade.
Wiping his hands on his slacks, he opened his car door, stepping out. He swallowed hard as he came to the door. Shaking the nerves away, he finally knocked. He waited, hearing your sweet voice through the thick wood, “One second!”
The door finally opened; Steve looked up. He couldn't help his smile. You weren't ready yet. Your hair was half up half down, no makeup on, and a surprised look on your face. You clutched at your chest, where a fancy necklace usually resides. Your natural lips moved, but no words came out. You were acting surprised at seeing him, but he was only 5-8 minutes early.
“Hi, beautiful.”
He loves when you got flustered.
“Hey– I lost track of time. I'm sorry–you can come in. I'm so sorry, oh my god. I'll just get ready real quick.”
He shrugged you off, “It's not a problem. Take your time.”
“Make yourself at home!” He watched you hurry up the stairs, skipping every other step.
Closing the door, he looked around. The house was you. It smelt like you, the interior design screaming you. After looking around, admiring your decor, he made his way up the steps, following the sound of your hurried movements.
“I meant it; take your time. We can cancel the reservation and go later.” Steve leaned against the door frame, watching you move swiftly.
You stopped your movements, one eyelash coated in mascara while the other was naked. “But you planned this. I should've been paying attention-”
“It's fine, really. I'd like to spend some time with you before we go, anyway. If that's okay with you.”
Finishing the other eyelash, you frowned up at him. Steve pushed off the wall, walking over to you. If he thought your living room reflected you, your room was even more so.
He sat on the bed, watching you through the vanity mirror. “You're beautiful, you know.”
“And you're a suck up. What, trying to get in my bed already?”
Steve had to cover his grin, feeling the duvet under his fingertips. Your bed was soft. He imagined what sleeping on it must be like.
“Looks like I've already succeeded.”
You rolled your eyes, turning your desk chair toward the bed, watching his fingers trace the softness of your blanket.
“What are we supposed to do about dinner?” He could see the guilt in your eyes. It really wasn't that big of a deal.
“I'll figure it out.”
You two sat in your room, exchanging playful banter and anything to dissolve the tension of a new relationship. It was easy between you two.
Steve looked up when he heard the bathroom door opening, “Can you zip me?” He felt his breath hitch. You were stunning. A strapless dress flowed down your body, flowing outward a little at the skirt. You held the front up with both of your hands, eyes not quite meeting his as he stood, walking over. You turned, providing him with access to the zipper you were able to only get halfway up your back. He made a show of zipping it, fingers lingering. He could see the flush on the back of your ears.
He leaned in, lips grazing the shell of your ear, “Ready?”
You mindlessly nodded, too drunk off his touch. It wasn't even crazy, yet he had you wrapped around his finger. Fixing your hair one final time, you gathered yourself, walking toward your closet. Grabbing a pair of shoes, you made your way out of the house.
Steve was a gentleman; opening your car door, helping you get in, helping you get out, he held your hand the whole way to the restaurant, and quickly grabbed it again going into the said restaurant.
He had manners, which was rare to find.
He was interested in what you had to say. He had a sense of humor. God, what wasn't perfect about him?
“What about you?” Steve brought his glass to his lips, eyebrows raised. The lights of the fancy restaurant illuminated his facial features. He looked handsome. “What does the future hold for you?”
You laid your hands on the table in front of you, biting your bottom lip in thought. “I don't really know. As a kid, I had the same future plans as any little girl. I guess most of that stayed with me. The two story house with a big yard for children to play and a white picket fence. A dog that would run around with the kids and play fetch. But life might have different plans.”
He placed his glass down, nodding. Life was full of curveballs. He'd know first hand, with his parents, and how he had to grow up.
“How many kids do you want?”
He smiled when you didn't hesitate to answer. “Two. Preferably close in age so they can grow up close and have stuff in common.”
“So you have thought about this since you were little?”
“Of course. Didn't you?”
Steve shook his head, “Not really. My parents wanted me to think about College and what I wanted to do for work, not how I wanted my house to look or how many dogs I wanted.”
“You have time to think about it now.” You said softly, bringing your hands up to prob your head on as you looked at him.
“True,” He grinned, copying you and looking at you with as much adoration as you were looking at him with. “I'd like a two story house too. A big yard seemed nice. We'll just have to see what the future holds.”
Breaking eye contact, you tried not to freak out over how he said “we”. As in, you and him. Grabbing your glass of wine, you let it coat your throat, ignoring his eyes on you as you chugged what was left.
As you got ready to leave, Steve paid and walked out with your hand in his. He squeezed it before he left go to open your door.
It wasn't that late after dinner. The sun was just now setting over the horizon. “What now?”
“What do you want to do?”
“You're the one who asked me out if I remember correctly. I think that means you're the one who has to pick.”
He started the buckling his seatbelt. “Okay, fine. How about…we go shopping? A new store just opened up downtown. I think you'll like it.”
You looked over at him, like really looked. His hands flexed against the steering wheel as he reversed in the parking spot. He had tan slacks on, a slick dark brown leather belt, a dress shirt, with a tan sweater on top. His cuffs were folded, showing off the curves and softness of his hands and wrists. His wristwatch dazzled in the lights of the city. His hair was styled nicely, obviously held up by strong hairspray.
Feeling your eyes on him, Steve brought his hand over the center console, stretching it across your thigh. Getting a butterfly effect in your stomach, you laid a hand over him, looking out the window as he drove.
The drive was quiet, but it was nice.
Steve parked, just basking in the moment. He's never felt this content on a date before. You looked at all the people walking on the sidewalk with bags in their hands. This was on the “bougie” side of town, and the people walking around showed it with how they carried themselves. Bright lights lit up the town, iridescent lights shining from storefronts. Checking his watch, he unbuckled, before running around to your side and opening your door.
Thanking him with a smile, you let him take your hand, running across the street to get to the new store.
Once inside, you gawked at everything it had to offer. From expensive jackets and shirts to purses and jewelry. They were pretty, but become a lot less when you turned the price tag around. Steve noticed, going behind you to look at the tag for himself. He noticed when you nearly had heart eyes looking at a pair of high heels. They were pretty, he'd give it to you. Maybe it was the red bottoms that caught your eye, or the color that coated the rest of the shoe. Coincidentally, it matched your dress, and the red of the bottom matched your nail polish. It just matched. A lot better than the shoes you had on. He watched as you put off looking at the price tag, almost scared of what it would be.
“Get them.”
You looked up, brought out of your trance.
“Are you crazy?” You looked between him and the shoes. “These are worth more than me.”
Chuckling, he shook his head. “That's impossible, seeing as you're priceless.”
Scrunching up your nose at his cringy response, you just stared at him. "I was just looking at them."
“I'll buy them for you.”
You instantly shook your head, putting the shoes back. “No. No, I can't let you do that. You already bought dinner.”
He stepped forward, his arm grabbing the shoes from behind you. “I insist. Plus, I'm the one who asked you on the date. It's practically law that I pay for everything. I am a gentleman, after all.”
You grabbed at the shoe, but he moved away. “Steve, come on. This is ridiculous. I'd rarely ever wear them anyway.”
“You can wear them on our next date.”
You couldn't help the smile spreading on your face, “Are you asking me out on another date?”
He shrugged with a smirk on his face, and turned to walk toward the checkout.
Walking behind him, you glanced into the glass counter, where jewelry laid, sparking in the lights. All different shapes, gems, and pieces.
Steve turned back to you, feeling your body behind him. Even if you only looked at the glass counter for a split second, his eyes scanned your jewelry, seeing if you wore gold or silver.
Let's just say you came out of the store with not only a pair of high heels, but also a new bracelet. You could tell Steve he didn't have to do that for the rest of your lives, but Steve would insist. Soon, you'd realize gift giving was his love language.
The cup of hot chocolate warmed your hands in the chilly night air. Steve had stopped by a diner that he went to regularly and had a nice elderly woman make it.
Steve walked beside you on the sidewalk that led to your house, your bags in his hand. He walked you to your door, hand moving to your back when you turned toward him.
“I had fun tonight. Thank you.”
Steve playfully scoffed, handing you the bags. “I had fun too. Maybe next time you can decide what we do.”
“Yeah, sure. I'll make sure to bring my wallet so I can buy you some heels as well.”
“Oh, yeah. Black's my color, by the way.”
“Noted. Although, I think it would be cute if we matched.”
Your cheeks hurt from smiling all night.
Before you knew it, Steve was leaning in, his lips softly meeting yours. He tasted the hot chocolate on your lips, but he wasn't complaining.
Pulling back for air, you looked across his face. The chilly air nipped at his nose and cheeks, a light pink hue taking over. It only darkened after you had kissed.
Leaning up, you pecked his lips again, body staying close. “Thanks for everything.”
He didn't reply, only closing the gap once again.
Before anything got too heated, you lightly patted his chest, pulling away with a giddy smile. “It's getting late.”
He nodded, acknowledging what you said but still looking at your kiss-swollen lips.
“Steve,” you whined, licking your lips out of habit.
“Yeah, yeah.” He looked into your eyes, smiling at you. “How does Friday sound?”
“I think I'm free, but I'll check my calendar.”
“Alright,” He let go of you, moving his hand away from your back, watching as you stepped closer to your door. “ Can't wait.”
You watched as he walked backwards down the walkway. “ Goodnight, Steve.”
“ Goodnight. I'm just going to go look into two story houses. I'll get back to you.”
You laughed, looking at him over your shoulder as you unlocked the door. “ Yeah, right.”
He got in his car, waiting for you to get in your house before he left, not being able to contain the giddy feeling. Friday couldn't come fast enough.

This 1980 lakeside castle in Bremen, Alabama is on the market again. It was listed in 2019 and removed in 2020. It's been relisted and has been on the market over 210 days. 4bds, 3.5ba, $4.9M.
It's a very different castle design b/c it's mostly white. This is the main entrance.
The brick on the entrance hall fireplace is painted white.
The main hall is also part of the open concept living/dining/kitchen space. This castle has walls of windows and lets in lots of natural light.
The kitchen is located inside open walls of arches.
The sun room is a triangular space with a wall of windows to the main living area and a slanted "roof" of windows with views of Lewis Smith Lake.
The guest powder is elegant.
The stairs have mini columns for balusters.
Through the door is a lovely terrace on the lake.
And, this is the amazing primary bedroom.
The room is gigantic.
And, it also overlooks the sun room.
The en-suite has white penny tiles around the vanity and tub.
The home office is done in wood tones and has a view of the lake thru the sun room.
Here's another staircase. This one is turret-like.
This secondary bedroom is lovely and spacious.
The exterior of the home has a very castle-like feel.
There's even a lovely gazebo.
The large pier for docking boats also includes a seating area.
Slips for several boats.
The boathouse has a place to sleep and get up early to fish.
You don't even have to go outside to fish, there's a hole in the floor for that.
Looking down from the roof of the castle.

Good Morning: Michael 'Riz' Ariza x Reader (NSFW)
Tagging: @anime-weeb-4-life@danzer8705@mysoulisasunflower@msjava1972@adaydreamaway08
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/dc4940ff3e8911bfcebbbb34579b9b7f/2ab2953a710f3154-51/s540x810/2867d1d41ee84b5d37172259487cc1df76a839f3.jpg)
It’s late in the morning when you wake up, you reach out across the sheets your hand coming to rest on the empty space beside you. It’s cold to the touch, Riz had been up at least a couple of hours. He’s left you to sleep in late after your gig last night. There’s been a lot more of them since that video went viral. You stick to small, intimate venues, the kind of places you can connect with the audience.
It’s the scent of fresh coffee that leads you to the kitchen, the French press is already filled and ready to decant. The back door is open, a warm breeze flowing through the room as you pad through it wearing nothing but one of Riz’s t-shirts. You decant the coffee into two mugs before stepping outside onto your back porch.
It's the view that always strikes you, cloudless blue sky, the mountains silhouetted in the faraway distance across the desert landscape. Riz had selected the perfect place to build a home for the two of you. The warm, natural pond close by, the stunning scenery. He’s created a place surrounded by your fondest memories, a utopia of peace and beauty.
He’s chopping wood when you step outside, his hair tied back into a tiny bun. He’s gained a few grey hairs since you’ve met, he jokes that it’s due to keeping up with you. He’s wearing weathered Levi’s with a blue flannel shirt that’s thrown over a navy V-neck. You watch appreciatively as he swings the axe, splintering the wood.
You don’t know what it is about seeing him like this, but it does something to you…
He knows it too; you can see it in the way he smiles when he looks up at you. Christ, that smile lights up your entire world. He sets the axe against the tree stump before pulling off his gloves and tossing them on top of it. He takes the mug of coffee from your hand before leaning in and pressing a kiss to your lips, it’s heated and tender, sending a rush of exhilaration all the way down to your core.
“Good morning.” He murmurs, his body pressing along the length of yours as he cages you in against the door frame.
“Hm, it is.” You smile, giving him that look.
“Oh Songbird,” he murmurs, his thumb ghosting over the apple of your cheek. “Did I not give my girl enough last night?”
It had been too hurried, a quick encounter in the bathroom of the bar you played a gig in. You’d been wearing that black silk dress, high off the adrenaline of performing, your eyes had been bright, skin flushed. He’d fucked you on the vanity, his jeans shoved down past his hips, the silk brushing across his thighs as he kissed you into oblivion.
“I could always do with a little more.” You whisper as his fingertips tease along the buttons of the shirt, undoing them one by one.
“You’re insatiable.” He teases before tilting his head towards the interior of the house. “Let me take you back to bed, give you the wake up call you should have had.”
Riz takes his time with you. It’s soft and playful, little nips across your skin, teasing kisses, gentle caresses. His fingertips chase over your bare flesh, mapping out all those deviant little places that make you say his name. He smiles as he enters you, filling you slowly before he withdraws and starts all over again. He doesn’t believe in edging, it’s not your dynamic, he gives his girl what she needs, when she needs it. He would never deny you anything.
Your relationship has always been about intimacy, about being connected. When Riz looks into your eyes he sees his entire world, his entire reason for being. When you come, you take him with you. He groans your name into the hollow of your throat as he spills his release inside you.
“God, I can’t get enough of you.” He murmurs, his palms ghosting along the curve of your spine as he looks up at you.
“You say that everytime.” You laugh, your head tipping back as he leaves a trail of heated kisses along the line of your jaw.
“I mean it.” He says, guiding your mouth back to his. “I always mean it.”
